NORTHWIND WELLNESS
Medical Weight Management
Individualized medical care — not a quick fix or one-size-fits-all program.
Provider-led weight-management care built around your health, goals, lifestyle, and treatment preferences.
INDIVIDUALIZED MEDICAL CARE
Weight management should be built around you.
Weight is influenced by genetics, nutrition, activity, sleep, medications, metabolic health, hormones, stress, and other health conditions.
We start with a medical evaluation and develop a plan around your individual needs — not a standardized program.

Your plan may include more than one approach.

PRESCRIPTION TREATMENT
Weight-Management Medications
GLP-1, GIP/GLP-1, and other evidence-based prescription treatments may be considered when appropriate.
MEDICATION OPTIONS
Brand-Name or Compounded Options
Treatment may include FDA-approved medications or compounded options when clinically appropriate and legally available.
FOUNDATIONAL SUPPORT
Nutrition, Movement & Lifestyle
Care may also address nutrition, activity, sleep, hydration, and habits that support long-term health.
ONGOING CARE
Provider Follow-Up & Monitoring
We monitor progress, side effects, and treatment response. Medication doses are adjusted based on your needs — not automatically increased.
PROVIDER-LED CARE
Weight loss should be medically managed — not just medicated.
GLP-1–based medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide are well-studied and generally safe when appropriately prescribed. But good care involves more than writing a prescription.
Your provider monitors treatment response, side effects, nutrition, hydration, medical conditions, and your rate of weight loss.
Why monitoring matters
Common side effects may include nausea, constipation, diarrhea, reflux, and decreased appetite. Less common but important complications can also occur.
Regular follow-up helps identify concerns early and guides when treatment should be continued, adjusted, held, or changed.
HEALTHY WEIGHT LOSS
The goal is healthy weight loss — not the fastest weight loss.
Rapid or excessive weight loss can contribute to loss of muscle and may affect nutrition, strength, and bone health.
Preserving what matters.
We focus on your overall health and treatment trajectory — not simply the number on the scale.
A healthy rate of weight loss
Adequate protein and nutrition
Hydration and medication tolerance
Resistance and weight-bearing activity when appropriate
Preserving muscle, strength, and function
OUR GOAL
Better health — not simply the lowest number on the scale.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Medical Weight Management FAQ
Do you prescribe semaglutide or tirzepatide?
Yes, when clinically appropriate based on your health history, treatment needs, and individual risk factors.
Do you offer compounded medications?
Compounded options may be considered when clinically appropriate and legally available. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved in the same manner as commercially manufactured medications.
Is a membership required?
No. There are no membership fees or long-term program commitments.
Do you mark up medication costs?
No. Northwind Wellness does not add a medication markup simply for prescribing your treatment.
Will I need laboratory testing?
Testing is individualized and recommended when clinically appropriate.
Why isn't my dose automatically increased?
Dose changes are based on treatment response, tolerability, symptoms, and clinical need — not simply a preset schedule.
Can I lose weight too quickly?
Yes. Excessively rapid weight loss can affect muscle, nutrition, strength, and overall health.
Are results guaranteed?
No. Response varies, and no specific amount or rate of weight loss can be guaranteed.
